Ingredients
Calendula
Calendula is a beautiful bright orange flower, traditionally used in skin and body care going back to ancient Egypt. High in anti-oxidants, flavonoids, vitamins A & C; it is a favorite in a wide range of products from the gentlest of baby care to our very own facial oil, and massage balm. Calendula has anti-inflammatory properties and can help calm redness and inflammation and ease skin discomfort. We grow it on our organic farm. When the blossoms are bursting with color we hand pick early in the morning, then dry them in our green house. Later, we infuse the flowers in apricot or olive oil, always in small batches, to ensure fresh batches for our products.
Lavender
Lavender has been a part of the farm since the early years. It provides beauty and calmness to the farm which is bustling with work every day of the year rain or shine. We grow four acres of lavender now, the two varieties we grow are ‘Pierre Grosso’ and ‘Super’. Both of them bloom from early-June to early-July and have distinct attributes.
'Grosso’ is not only beautiful, but contains large amounts of oils. All the ‘Super’ we grow is distilled by a friend of ours due to it having an elegant smell. It produces a high-quality essential oil and hydrosol that is unmatched.
Lavender oil has many benefits for your skin, it naturally reduces inflammation, lessens pain, and cleans the surface of the skin.
Lemon Verbena
It's sent is very strong and refreshing and a little goes a long way. It adds a beautiful and clean sent to our Foaming Hand Soap. The natural flavonoids, astringency and Vitamin C in Lemon Verbena result in noticeably radiant skin.
Rosemary
It is an evergreen shrub with needle-like leaves and a woody aroma and is very popular one of our flavored salts. Though best known as a food seasoning and flavors one of our most popular salts, Rosemary is also one of the most popular aromatic and medicinal plants worldwide. It's essential oil and hyrdosol, which holds the plant’s core components, is what we use in our products. It has antimicrobial properties makes it useful in addressing skin problems such as acne, dermatitis and eczema.
Rose Geranium
Planted by Nigel Walker's son Andrew in 2018, Rose Geranium now showers the farm with its beautiful rose like sent. The plant produces very little essential oil, so we mainly distill the plant to turn it into hyrdrosol. Rose geranium has antibacterial, antimicrobial, and anti-aging agents, and supports relaxation you with its gentle notes of rose scent.
